Robert McClese

Accounts Receivable

Before joining Basement Waterproofing of Michigan, I spent six years working in the customer service department at a big-box retailer’s brick-and-mortar location, and truth be told, if Joe hadn’t lured me away, I’d probably still be there. I started in the call center at BWM and was quickly promoted to my current position.
I put myself through Macomb Community College, earning my associate’s degree in business management, by working full-time at a horse ranch, cleaning stables and caring for the horses, two of which had gone blind in both eyes. Working in customer support keeps my mind sharp, and I like my job because I get along with my coworkers (even though they regularly force me to bring them baked goods against my will), and because I’m always busy when I’m in the office.
Up-cycling furniture for do-it-yourself projects is a hobby of mine; I like the challenge of looking at a dresser or some other item and figuring out how to give it a new lease on life. I’m a nature lover and an equestrian, and I enjoy exploring Michigan’s forests while riding horseback. Also, I’m a quasi-professional marine biologist (okay, I’m an amateur marine biologist), and I love visiting aquariums so I can observe colorful marine species.
