We injected the crack so that it would prevent further damage to their home. This is covered by our Basement Waterproofing of Michigan lifetime warranty against leakage on all repairs made by BWM.
The system he purchased was the Grate Drain sub floor drainage system for the full perimeter of his basement. This comes with the Transferable Life of House Warranty. The Flexi Flange and Thermal Finish Shield were included in the total system cost for the entire perimeter. He had the Level Two Ground Water Control System installed. This comes with a dual, closed, sump pump system that has 2 liners, 2 fast pumps, a Water Alarm and the fast sump inverter with 100AMP, 12 Volt Battery. He also wanted to add the Santa Fe Classic dehumidifier. We did have to remove the portion of the drywall to be able to access the leaking portion and install the vapor barrier. But now his basement will be water and damage free! He also qualifies for the Full Wall Protection Healthy Basement Certificate. Rob and his family can breath easy in their new Healthy Home!
These are the before and after pictures of some of the rod holes and crack injections that needed to be repaired in our customers basement. We also installed a full wall, crack shield to protect from rod hole leaks in the future.
BWM injected two cracks in the customers basement, from end-to-end. We also injected six rod holes that had been leaking. Lastly, we installed a full wall crack shield on the large crack that went to the floor. To do this, we broke out the concrete in front of the crack and removed it. We dug down to expose the footing. Sealed the crack with epoxy. Next, we installed a carbon fiber mesh to strengthen the wall. We installed white wall panel to seal off the repair and to redirect moisture under the floor. Last, we back-filled with gravel and re-concrete the space. The crack injection and crack shield are covered under a transferable warranty.
We installed a full perimeter Grate Drain system. It included the wall shield strip which is the vapor barrier. We used the one foot strip which provides for the sealed system and allows the option for full wall protection in the future, if necessary. The flexi-flange ties the vapor barrier into the drainage system. Also installed was the GrateSump, 1/3 hp pump with the GrateSump liner. GrateDrain comes with the transferable, life-of-the-house warranty.
We were able to fill the crack from top to bottom. We included injection of the 3 rod holes along the crack. This abated the leaking.

We filled the cracks from top to bottom. No water was coming in any longer.
We installed our fast pump with in GrateSump liner. It has a 1/3 hp pump that pumps up to 2400 GPH. This will help pump the rain water away from her crawl space and avoid any smell or moisture.
We provided this beautiful, Detroit home with a full Grate Drain basement system. It includes the complete sub floor drainage system and vapor barrier.
The water was leaking in through the homes original gas line. The gas line enters the home through the wall at the base of the main floor, in the ceiling of the basement. If the line has been completely disconnected, we can remove it from inside the wall and fill the hole. If it is still connected, then we will seal all around the hole on the outside to prevent moisture from entering the home.
BWM sent our specialized crack injection crew to stop the water from coming into the home. We also broke out the base of their fireplace, to expose the footing. Removal of a stamped concrete patio that was installed too high and resulted in water entering the basement. BWM also installed a full perimeter drainage system and discharge line to ensure the water ran to the Grate sump pump we had installed. The Grate Sump Pump Ms. Kasimecek chose, comes with a Power Inverter Battery Back-Up which kicks in if her power ever goes out.
